What a way to kick off the 2026 series! Last Thursday night, our teams at Ray White Buderim and Ray White Maroochydore proved once again that when we bring our whole team together, we bring the results.
The atmosphere at our “Auctions at Altitude” event was electric, the bidding was fierce, and the outcomes for our sellers were nothing short of exceptional. Despite the “noise” you might be hearing in the media about interest rates or the cost of living, the energy in the room told a completely different story: The Sunshine Coast property market is as resilient as ever.

Our Director, Dan Sowden, noted something during the night that should give every local homeowner confidence.
“There has been a lot of noise in the market recently regarding interest rates and fuel costs, which has caused some buyers to pause,” Dan observed. “However, what we saw tonight was the incredible depth of the buyer market. As one buyer stepped back, another entered the negotiation. That depth is what continues to underpin the strength of our local market.”
One of our favorite moments of the night involved Kyle and Emily Sunderland. They managed the ultimate property transition: selling and buying all in one evening!
They successfully sold their Turnipwood home prior to the event for a unique $1,222,439.86. Then, they stepped into our auction room and secured their new family home at 8 Palmyra Crescent, Buderim for $1,600,000.
Jake Loiero, our Ray White Buderim Principal, summed it up perfectly: “To facilitate both transactions seamlessly on the same night for the Sunderlands is incredibly rewarding. It’s a fantastic example of what’s possible when the right strategy and timing align.”
