On Saturday 9th March a crowd of over 30 witnessed bidders fight it out at the auction of 24 Summer Drive, Maroochydore for a final sale of $390,000.
Marketing agent Simon Thomas from Ray White Maroochydore reported a number of interested locals enquired from an investment perspective, including several already residing in the street.
“From day one this property garnered high levels of interest. There were 32 inspections and two offers prior to Auction day” said Mr Thomas.
With four registered bidders on the day, the opening bid of $350,000 eliminated some contenders leaving bidding to reach a peak of $370,000. After negotiations with the highest bidder the final sale price was $390,000.
Following the auction, the tenants very accommodating friends announced celebratory beers all around. They were there on the day to cat-sit for the tenant and were thrilled for all parties with the final result.
The property was a well presented low-set home on a large 650m2 block. It offered three bedrooms, one bathroom, a second toilet and single garage, single carport.
The property had been held by a couple from Brisbane as an investment for approximately 5 years.
The new buyer has decided to follow in their footsteps, also keeping the purchase as an investment property.
