By Dan Sowden

There certainly were no Chickens on the Palmer Coolum Golf Course last Friday 22nd June during the AGL Action Rescue Helicopter Charity Golf Day, only Eagles and Birdies from the team at Ray White Maroochydore!

Nicholas Criss and Mitch Sinclair from Ray White Maroochydore teamed up with John Moon (APN) and Rex Larkins (AWP Property) to

deliver the winning shots and snatch first place. Most importantly, beneath the competitive comments and raging rivalry the registered competitors successfully raised some much needed funds for AGL Action Rescue.

This golf day is a major highlight on the Sunshine Coast fundraising calendar and this year marked the introduction of a perpetual trophy for the winners on the day; which of course comes complete with bragging rights! The 18 hole event was a 4-ball-ambrose and by all reports was a tight contest with the winning team coming away 2 shots in front.

The event also included a sausage sizzle, sponsored holes, a raffle and pro golfing tips.  Entrants could nominate as an individual or a team of four along with spectator tickets also available for purchase, all proceeds from ticket sales went to the AGL Rescue Helicopter Charity.

With every mission costing $4,500 an hour The AGL Rescue team need assistance now more than ever.  Supporting events like the Charity Golf Day enables them to purchase vital equipment and aid in meeting the ever increasing demands on local rescue services.
