Record-breaking month for Ray White Maroochydore

By Tamara Speer

IT’S a case of double delight for Ray White Maroochydore as the office celebrated a record-breaking month of sales in June and achieved a property management milestone.

A total of 28 properties were sold last month with a combined value of $17,300,000 and the team now manage a total of 1001 properties.

Ray White Maroochydore Director and Auctioneer Dan Sowden said he was humbled to reach the 1000 properties managed mark and it really had been a dream come true.

“We started on this journey more than 10 years ago and it’s been a burning ambition for our team to grow and reach the 1000 properties managed milestone, we’re delighted to have achieved that now,” Mr Sowden said.

“The key to this success is having excellent people in our business for a long time and constantly providing an exceptional service to our owners.

“We’ve found that its relatively simple to attract new investors to our business, but it’s in our ability to constantly deliver value through a unique customer experience, that means so many owners have stayed with us over the last decade.

“Now we’ve hit the 1000 mark, we’ve already reset our target with an ambition to grow towards 1500 managed properties.

“We’ve also worked really hard on redefining the career options available for our property managers.

“Ten years ago, property management roles traditionally had a short-term lifecycle, but today, our managers are experts in property law and legislation and have dedicated support teams to support the service level we need to offer and to facilitate career progression.”

Mr Sowden said the combination of Maroochydore’s exciting future and his team provided the perfect recipe to serve up the record-breaking month of sales.

“Our sales team are really starting to mature and reach their potential,” he said.

“There’s been a market shift since the Federal Election and we’re now seeing a big bank of buyers that are making purchasing decisions.

“The Sunshine Coast broadly speaking is one of the top growth regions in the country; it’s a destination that offers a tremendous lifestyle, as well as genuine business and job opportunities, on the back of our recent development projects.

“When you look at projects like the development of the new Maroochydore CBD, the new international airport and health precinct, these projects have an estimated impact of well over $10 billion into our economy that’s driving a once in a 25-year growth period.

“The best part is that people relocating from Sydney or Melbourne can still find relatively affordable beach or riverfront property at a fraction of what they might be familiar with in southern markets.

“Our biggest sale of the month was at 37 Ensbey Road in Bald Knob, which was a big beautiful acreage property that sold for $1.45M.”

Ray White Queensland CEO Tony Warland said he was proud of the Maroochydore team’s achievements and it was a testament to their hard work.

“The average property management rent roll is 350 properties, so passing the 1,000 mark is a real achievement,” Mr Warland said.

“When you join that together with $17.3M of combined sales figures in June, it makes for a double achievement the Maroochydore team can be really proud of.

“It also proves what can be achieved when you have the right people in your team, and of course, the business flourishes from this in serving the needs of the real estate community.”
