Property Management Wealth Conference 2013

Our property management teams have just returned from 2 days on the Gold Coast at the Annual Ray White ‘National Wealth Conference’. This conference is specifically for property management teams, principals and administrators covering all the cutting edge movements in the industry, and how to best service the needs of both investors, tenants and each of the clients and potential clients they meet on a daily basis.

Ben White opened the conference, sharing a mastered ‘Strategic Planning Booklet’ – which connects the dots for Property Management. Our teams were in awe of this, as a business tool there is simply nothing like it available at the moment. Key areas discussed throughout the event were: Growth, Team Building and Maintenance, Risk Assessment, Systems, Quality + Financial strategies.

The teams were privileged to witness some engaging key speakers, along with breakout sessions held on day 2 by some of Ray White’s recognised Elite Performers. Speakers Included:

Matina Jewell – Organisation Advisor, International Speaker and Author – An unarmed UN Peacekeeping team leader at the border junction of Lebanon, Israel and Syria.  Australian Army Major Matina Jewell and her colleagues were caught in the centre of full scale war with tragic consequences in 2006. Martina Jewell’s survival was a great story which inspired us, as she spoke about how she cheated death, took command and showed pure courage. She is a special breed of person who showed what true leadership is about.

Joe O’Keefe Jnr – National Brand Manager of Hungry Jacks. Canadian born and bred, being hand picked to head the digital marketing for Hungry Jacks Australia. Joe was responsible for bringing ‘Social Media’ to the business, and launching an internationally recognised consumer App named “check in and win’ which is currently being used every 5.9 seconds and has returned a 1186% increase on investment, pure brilliance.

Tom O’Toole –  The booming baker + massive motivator. Tom is a juggernaut in the competitive world of retail marketing. A self confessed kindergarten dropout from dirt poor origins who didn’t know his ABC’s, he is living proof of the power of striving for your dreams. With a formidable sense of humour and enthusiasm which bordered on inspired frantic madness, he spearheaded the rebirth of a dying country town by turning his bakery into a phenomenon of Australian small business, which continues to gather strength and speed to this day.

Jane Anderson – Principal of JA Career Management. Jane is an elite global career expert with more than 10 years experience as a Speaker, Facilitator, Mentor + Coach. She has worked with over 10,000 professionals and executives across the world helping people find happiness in their work. Holding one of the top 1% of profiles viewed on Linkedin, she is essentially a people marketer and spends much of her time educating people on how to position themselves for the right role.

John Shackelton – The Performance Expert . Wow, what a finish to a great 2 days. Johns unique background and experience makes him a powerful speaker with a story borne out of life experience not trite textbook theory. His humorous but hard hitting style, had us laughing, crying but more importantly we found ourselves being ready to make some big changes to our thinking process and taking greater levels of personal responsibility.

Of course, a conference isn’t a conference without the party in between, offering a chance to network with other Ray White Offices Nationally. The theme for the evening was circus, with everybody going the extra mile with their costumes. Everyone was wowed by the incredible entertainment, and endless supply of fairy floss. We are all very excited, focused and motivated ready for 2014.
