No. 2 Emporio Place: the No. 1 Choice for Leading Australian Companies

By Dan Sowden

KPMG the latest high calibre company to lease commercial space at Emporio

KPMG, a leading provider of audit, tax and advisory services, has announced it will soon call Emporio’s first commercial building home, having leased nearly 500 square metres at No. 2 Emporio Place located in the Maroochydore CBD.

The announcement follows news of VDM Engineering’s recent commitment to the same commercial building, who will establish their Sunshine Coast headquarters at Emporio.

Emporio Project Director from Reed Property Group, Ross Webb said securing the likes of KPMG and VDM was testament to the commercial quality being offered at Emporio.

“As Emporio evolves out of the ground, it continues to attract not only residential buyers but leading, Australian blue-chip companies looking to establish themselves in the heart of the Sunshine Coast’s business precinct,” Mr Webb said.

“Emporio offers commercial clients both a centrally located and state-of-the-art space, making it convenient for their clients and their employees to do business.”

KPMG Executive Officer, Bruce Swan said growth experienced in South East Queensland warranted another regional office for the international company and that finding quality commercial space in the heart of the Maroochydore CBD was a natural selection for the firm.

“The office spaces at the Emporio precinct are comparable in quality and design to a capital city’s CBD offering, with the added attraction of being positioned in one of Australia’s most sought-after lifestyle destinations,” Mr Swan said.

“Factoring in location, ease of access for our employees and clients alike, and the environmentally sustainable design elements complimented by access to high speed, fibre-optic communications; selecting Emporio for our Sunshine Coast based office was an easy business decision.”

No. 2 Emporio Place, is a four-storey building commercial building currently being constructed within the Emporio commerce precinct, offering more than two thousand square metres of A Grade office accommodation over three levels.

With individual floor plates of 746sqm, which are capable of sub-division, the building provides a range of flexible options for lease or strata sale for businesses looking to relocate, expand or establish on the Sunshine Coast. The building also offers businesses high profile exposure from Maroochy Boulevard.

Mr Webb said since taking the precinct’s commercial building to the market late last year, the entire top floor has now been leased, with negotiations at an advanced stage for the two lower floors.

“We suspect what also attracts commercial tenants is the ‘live-work-play’ philosophy that will be brought to life for the first time on the Sunshine Coast with Emporio,” he said.

“Combining modern offices with residential, shopping and dining attractions and amenities beyond any other destination on the Coast is a real drawcard for both the staff and client base of a business.

“Easterly views towards the coastline and a southerly view across the water towards the Buderim escarpment, No. 2 Emporio Place offers exceptional outlooks from every corner of the building, whilst still being the centre of attention.

“It is because of these features and more that we expect to be announcing more tenants of a similarly distinguished calibre in the near future,” Mr Webb said.
