Childs Play Generates Serious Profits

By Dan Sowden

One of Australia’s largest children’s ride and amusement machine companies has been placed on the market. Established by the retiring owners sixteen years ago, the business has now grown from one machine in North Queensland to over 300 in 125 locations, nationwide.

It is astounding to consider the capabilities of this business under the guidance of this young Sunshine Coast family, including two school aged children. They ran a company with national reach from their home base in the coastal town of Caloundra. This business has allowed the family to enjoy all the benefits of a coastal community and now the ability to sell to retire early.

For confidentiality reasons, the company cannot be named until the sale process is complete, however the initial offering has already drawn both national and international interest.

With sales of just under $4 million per annum and a net profit of over $1.2 million, it’s no wonder this unique business is demanding such high levels of enquiry. Operated from home, it’s incredible to think that child’s play, literally, could generate this sort of income.

Being sold by way of expressions of interest over $3.5 million through Brendan Ford of Ray White Business Sales, the sale process could not be going better according to the Agent.

“Businesses like this just don’t come up for sale very often. In fact, I don’t think I have ever seen a business generate this income with no debtors. This factor alone is attracting buyers. After all, cash is king in today’s market” Mr Ford commented.

Boasting a fair market value of over $2 million in assets, the business has secured long term contracts with national shopping centres to ensure years of maintainable earnings. Further more, the business has grown despite the weakest national retail spending figures in decades. The business has produced double digit growth in the past three years alone, proving there is still potential for growth in today’s market.

With a national marketing campaign now under way, it is expected a result will be achieved within weeks. For further details on the sale please contact managing agent, Brendan Ford on 0402 649 744.
