Auction Clearance rates tops 70% despite Coronavirus

By Dan Sowden

LAST weekend’s Auction results were always going to be a litmus test for buyer confidence given the recent events surrounding COVID-19.

It was clear that even though COVID-19 is relevant to all, it has not stopped buyers bidding and purchasing with 7 from 10 Auctions selling on Saturday with our Ray White Group of Offices.

Over the weekend our office alone conducted 27 Open homes and introduced 155 buyers to those marketed properties, at an average of 5.74 inspections per property, consistent with the year so far.

Auctions today remain the strongest strategy option for sellers when it comes to exposing your property to the widest possible buyer audience that is supported by a Cash and Unconditional Contract.

The confidence our owners showed in our agency was rewarded on the weekend when it came to 2 of our networks Auctions that both successfully sold, despite the challenge of not being able to enjoy access to view the property on Auction Day due to tenant isolation. Both Auctions sold with multiple bidders competing as they had already viewed the property online and in person prior to Auction Day.

Auction Results here:
  • 7/140 Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore – Sold at Auction for $532,000
