COOLUM heARTS Inc. is not a misspelt name.
It is a new not-for-profit organisation, formerly known as Art with Heart started by artist Clive Holden and wife Barb to help people who have significant challenges in their lives.
Clive offers free painting lessons and Barb offers tuition in other arts.
“We decided to host an open day at our studio to showcase students’ work, promote our new project and thank our generous sponsors, Bendigo Bank and Mary MacKillop Foundation,” Barb said.
Students’ paintings will be on display and artworks by local artists for sale at 23 Cinnamon Ave, Coolum from 1-4 pm on Sunday, November 9.
A highlight of the day will be an auction of donated art from Sunshine Coast artists at 2.30pm.
Community choir Cool Harmonies and Girls with Pearls will entertain.
Entry was by gold coin donation with our very own, Reuben Park hosting the Charity Auction, raising $2000 for this wonderful organisation.
COOLUM heARTS had to legally change its name but still hosts ‘art with heart’.
