Director of Ray White Maroochydore Dan Sowden is not surprised by the new data, saying it’s the reason why prices in the luxury apartment market are steady and showing no signs of slowing, despite the uncertainty of COVID-19.
“The evidence identifies this market as very hot,” says Dan. “COVID-19 is prompting buyers to consider their quality of life and where they intend to spend their future.
“If anything, it has brought this question to the front of our minds and the early signs is that Maroochydore is a destination of choice for many Australians thinking about where they will be living in the future.”
Dan’s sentiments are echoed by Ray White Maroochydore agent, Jeff Uebergang, who has experienced just how quickly three-bedroom apartments are selling.
“A recent three-bedroom Maroochydore apartment I recently listed had three inspections in the first 72 hours, with two of them going into competition straight away,” says Jeff.
“Without even taking it to the market, I was able to introduce 40 buyers to the property from our database.”
