Sales & Marketing Consultant
How did you get into real estate/ What attracted you to a career in real estate?
I was lucky enough to get into the real estate market at a young age when I bought my first home at 21 years of age. It took me 7 years of friends telling me that I should work in real estate to change my previous career and make the switch.
What do you believe is the secret to success?
I believe there is a lot of things that contribute to success in real estate. Too many to really mention, but I believe a big component of it is taking the science out of it and simply caring about people. Providing a customer experience better than you would expect and one that is better than your fellow competitor.
What is your current real estate market like?
We are currently in a very unique market where we have had consecutive growth the past 5 years and a very bright future ahead with the infrastructure planned around the Sunshine Coast. From this, we are seeing plenty of buyers looking to move here for retirement and lifestyle. The future looks very good in Maroochy Waters.
What does it mean to you to be a part of the Ray White brand? In short, why Ray White.
Ray White was recommended to me from the start as a great business for development, training and support which is something I first worried about when entering this profession. After being a part of the business for just over 2 years now, I realise how special it is to be a part of such a big team across the coast and they have provided everything for me that I have needed to be successful in this business.
What are the challenges of working in this industry?
I believe the biggest challenge of this industry is that work never switches off, so finding the time to step away from work and reset is crucial to ensure you survive and do not burn out.
What advice would you give to others starting in the industry?
The first year is always going to be hard, the more effort you put in and harder you work will determine if you will stay in the industry the second year.
What is it like to work on the Sunshine Coast?
Working on the Sunshine Coast is a blessing and a curse. It is great to be able to work and live in such a beautiful spot with so much potential growth but having to work on some of those beautiful summer days can also be a curse.
What do you like to do outside of real estate/in your spare time?
Outside of real estate I like to stay local and enjoy some the of the beautiful spots Sunshine Coast has to offer. I play AFL for the Maroochydore club on weekends and love to fit a game of golf in here and there.
