How did you get into real estate/ What attracted you to a career in real estate?

I have been working in sales for about 10 years or so now and in my previous job I had accomplished the goals I set out for and was finding it a bit unsatisfying. The next logical step for me in sales was to step into the Real Estate industry and give it a go.

What do you believe is the secret to success?

Consistency is key. Set your goals, make your plan and stick to it.

What is your current real estate market like?

I specialise in the Sunshine Cove pocket of Maroochydore which is seeing a lot of movement at the moment. We’ve seen a few records broken for the area so far this year, this along with the new Claremont precinct coming to completion is creating a bit of a turn over in the area.

What does it mean to you to be a part of the Ray White brand? In short, why Ray White.

The reason I chose to come across to the Ray White team is the support they provide. Our industry is very fast moving and Ray White keeps us on the ball with constant training so we can be make the best recommendation to buyers and sellers alike when it comes to their biggest assets

What are the challenges of working in this industry?

I think the challenges of the Real Estate industry are very person from agent to agent. When you first start out, they all tell you its a 24/7 job however until you’re experiencing it yourself it’s hard to grasp the concept of it. My biggest challenge is keeping my work/life balance in check.

What advice would you give to others starting in the industry?

When choosing who to work for or what company to work under, your boss and your team are extremely important. As agents we face a lot of competition in the industry and having the support of a great team can be the difference in failure or success.

What is it like to work on the Sunshine Coast?

Beautiful. Every property we list is in a dream holiday location. I wouldn’t change where I live and work for the world.

What do you like to do outside of real estate/in your spare time?

Typical Sunshine Coast local response for this one. I spend most of my days off with the dog at the beach. What else would we do?
