Marketing and PR
How did you get into real estate/ What attracted you to a career in real estate?
I had moved from the country to The Sunshine Coast for university and was studying Property Economics at university. I applied for a receptionist role while at university and was lucky enough to get the job. It was the start of a real passion project, where I was given the chance to work for Dan and learn about all different facets of the business from admin to property management. I worked my way through different roles before becoming the marketing manager. I was really privileged to be given so many amazing opportunities and experiences working for Ray White Maroochydore, with so many chances for career growth and opportunities to explore progressive ways to do business.
What do you believe is the secret to success?
I think that you have to not be afraid of hard work and to always act with honesty and integrity. I really love working for a business that is so progressive, always looking for the best and newest ways to do business. The industry we work in requires empathy and understanding, its a huge commitment that people are making, so I believe if you act first with empathy the outcome will always be the very best possible.
What does it mean to you to be a part of the Ray White brand? In short, why Ray White.
Ray White is a trusted brand, with access to the best training and systems available. Locally, I believe this business is the most progressive of its kind and unrelenting in the search for the best and newest ways to do things. I also love that Ray White has such a strong family link.
What are the challenges of working in this industry?
Property involves a whole range of emotions and it can often be hard to manage that. Everybody has an opinion on property and everybody is an expert in the field, so navigating that can be difficult.
What advice would you give to others starting in the industry?
Don’t be afraid of hard work, and it pays to learn every facet of the business.
What is it like to work on the Sunshine Coast?
It’s a particularly exciting area at the moment. So much progression in the last 2 years, yet we still don’t have to contend with crazy traffic to get to work and we get to enjoy some of the best beaches on offer with a laid back lifestyle.
What do you like to do outside of real estate/in your spare time?
I have a beautiful family that mean the world to me, so time spent with them is my number one priority. We love to head up camping and surfing/swimming at Double Island. We also love to renovate so renovating our home or spending time in the backyard with family and friends, around a fire or the pool! We are about to welcome our second baby so taking some time to relax before life gets that little bit more hectic.
