Free Training Sessions for 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon

By Property Management

There are no excuses to not start training for the 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon, with free running sessions kicking off next Tuesday, June 7.

Marathon organisers have partnered with the leading Sunshine Coast based training group Atlas Multisports Coaching to deliver expert training guides for entrants in the 10km, half-marathon and full marathon events.

Event director Jason Crowther will meet runners every week until August 16 at Alex Surf Club for 6am training. The sessions will start and finish at the surf club and runners are welcome to bring friends along.

Qualified running coaches have designed numerous 12-week and 16-week training guidelines so entrants stay motivated through winter and familiarise themselves with the course.

The guides provide runners with an explanation of terms and daily session suggestions so they may build their way up to the appropriate distance. See the full advanced, intermediate or beginner marathon guides online today and log into your Facebook to RSVP here for the training runs.

Join more than 6000 participants of all ages and abilities from Queensland, interstate and overseas in five distances including 2km, 5km, 10km, 21.1km and 42.2km.

All profits of this fantastic event go to worthy local causes and this year the goal is to hit $1million.

Don’t miss the atmosphere or action at the coast’s largest community event by taking part in this year’s 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon to be held August 19-21, 2016. This event has already established itself as one of Australia’s favourite running events.

So whether your goal is to set a new PB or just finish one of the events on August 21, everyone is welcome to join in the training runs.
