Sporting Groups and Fitness Clubs
Maroochydore SLSC
Maroochydore Surf Club is one of the most respected surf clubs in the World. Home to countless State, Australian and World Champion athletes, Maroochydore is affectionaltley known as ‘Home of the World Champions”. The club itself was completely refurbished in 2002 and more recently in 2009 opened its member’s only gymnasium.
Maroochydore Rugby Union
Maroochydore Rugby Union club was founded in 1975 and is one of the coasts oldest and established clubs catering for all ages’ right through to seniors and the very vocal ‘thirsty lions’ over 35’s. With their home fields in central cotton tree, it’s a great venue to watch some Saturday afternoon Rugby.

Established in 1923, Maroochydore State School is one of the coasts most historic Primary Schools. With a population of approximately 270 students in Prep to Year 7 and with 30 early year students enrolled in an Early Childhood Developmental Program that caters for students with multiple disabilities. The school is located within close proximity the Maroochydore CBD as well as local residential communities in the centre of the Sunshine Coast.

Kuluin State Primary School is one of the smaller more intimate primary schools on the sunshine coast. Located within good proximity to the Maroochydore CBD, the school is located within the residential suburb suitably named Kuluin. Although small in stature, parents of Kuluin Primary School constantly rate the education and support their child receives as above the state average in surveys conducted by the Queensland Department of Education and Training.
